Botanical Gardens: A botanical garden is a special garden with greenhouses designed for organizing, cultivating, conserving, and showcasing plant species from all over the world, marked with their botanical names.
It included plants like bushes, shrubs, bedding plants, flowers, vegetables, herbs, and trees. It’s an ideal structure where plants and flowers are grown under a controlled climate for scientific study and showcasing unique plants and flowers for students.
Botanical gardens are completely different from other parks and amusement gardens, where plants, usually with showy flowers, are grown for public amenities only. The earliest botanical gardens were established in the late Renaissance at the University of Pisa (1543) and the University of Padua (1545) in Italy to research and teach botany to students.
In addition, many universities today have dedicated botanical gardens for academic research.
